Departmental Functions
The Community Development office is responsible for administering the local Renaissance on Main (Main Street) program and also administers community development and public service projects with the assistance of local, state, and federal funds. We research, write, and administer grant funding in coordination with the appropriate City Departments. Additionally, Community Development works as a liaison between the federal or state agency and the city department, assuring that all federal and state regulations are followed during implementation of the grant-funded program.
Daron Jordan, who holds a Masters in Organizational Management and is a Certified Grant Specialist, serves as the City of Madisonville Community Development Director.
