City of Madisonville Municipal Electric Utilities is a municipally owned utility with diversified goals and resources aimed at providing for current and future needs of its customers.
The Electric Utility Department will assure progress by developing new and improved techniques and procedures throughout its operation to provide high quality service at the lowest possible cost to its customers.

AMR Meter Upgrades
The City of Madisonville Electric Department will be upgrading all the electric meters within the next 36-48 months. This upgrade is due to the conversion to automated meter reading (AMR). Meter reading(s) for customers having demand billing will be read the 1st of every month; instead of their current read date.
