What Can You Do to Help?

We all need to work to keep our water clean because we all are connected to our rivers and lakes by our storm drain system. We may not be able to see it but be it through a ditch or storm drain from your house it will ultimately connect to our local streams and lakes.

Please, do your part in helping keep it clean with the following simple steps.

  1. Help keep pollution out of storm drains
  2. Carefully store and dispose of household cleaners, chemicals, and oil - Contact Madisonville Sanitation at 824-2117 for more proper disposal information.
  3. Clean up after your pet
  4. Practice good car care
  5. Choose earth friendly landscaping please contact the
  6. Save water

We might not be able to see how it gets there but what we do at our home will affect our streams and lakes.
