CITY OFFERS PUBLIC ACCESS TO FREE WI-FI ZONE IN DOWNTOWN AREA
In 2009 the City of Madisonville partnered with NewWave Communication and US Bank to create a WiFi Zone in the downtown area. The service is free to the public for up to 4 hours in a 24 hour period.
To access WiFi from your PC, follow these steps:
- Choose "Start"
- Choose "Control Panel"
- Choose "Network & Sharing Center"
- Choose "Connect to a Network"
- Choose "Downtown WiFi"
We recommend that each user "logout" at the end of your session to ensure the signal disconnects completely and initiates a new 24-hour cycle.
Antennaes are situated in the downtown area at the following locations:
- 67 N. Main Street - City Hall
- 99 E. Center Street - Police Department
- 1 S. Main Street - US Bank
