Mountain Workshops Books Now Available

"A Place Built to Last" was the title chosen for the 2006 Mountain Workshops book; a compilation of photographs and stories arranged by photojournalists who gathered in Madisonville in the fall of 2006 for the 31st Annual Mountain Workshops.

The workshop is part of the photojournalism program at Western Kentucky University and is sponsored each year by a number of distinguished companies such as Apple Computer Inc., Canon U.S.A. Inc., and Nikon Inc.  The group consisted of 49 photographers who came from places like Salt Lake City, New York, and Malaysia; all searching for a subject to capture the essence of what our community is about.

A limited supply of the book is now available at the City of Madisonville Municipal Building (37 E. Center Street) or City Hall (67 N. Main Street) and can be purchased for $10 plus tax.  For more details about the Mountain Workshops book contact the Office of Community Development at 824-2195 or via email at djordan@madisonvillegov.com.
