The City of Madisonville was recently introduced to an exciting new technology that is sure to have a tremendous, positive impact for promoting the public and the private assets of our wonderful community. We have accepted the services for, and will participate in, a three-year promotional campaign conducted by CGI Communications, Inc. (www.cgicommunications.com)
e-Local Link, a division of CGI, will produce a series of online videos to showcase the assets and attributes that the City of Madisonville has to offer to its residents, its visitors, and its business community. These videos will be accessible for viewing via the City's website (www.madisonvillegov.com).
The videos are provided to the city free of charge for a three-year period through the support of a number of local business sponsors, which were obtained by CGI. Links to informational videos about each local business sponsor, along with links to sponsor Web sites, are located around the city video links. Through CGI's patented OneClick technology, an Internet user with any type of media player can easily access the videos, and e-mail them directly to an individual or to a group of e-mail addresses.
As you know, the City of Madisonville is dedicated to making our community a great place to live, work, shop, and conduct business. This project will highlight the advantages of living in and doing business here. This is an exciting opportunity for the City of Madisonville to share its story locally, nationally and even internationally with those wanting to learn more about what Madisonville has to offer.
