The Madisonville Police Department has officers on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Hopkins County Central Dispatch is located in the Madisonville Police Department building, and is staffed by at least two operators at all times.

During regular business hours you may obtain copies of reports and other standard administrative matters.

The Department is closed on the following holidays:

  • first day of January (New Years Day)
  • third Monday in January (M. L. King Jr. Day)
  • last Monday in May (Memorial Day)
  • fourth day of July (Independence Day)
  • first Monday in September (Labor Day)
  • fourth Thursday in November (Thanksgiving Day)
  • fourth Friday in November (After Thanksgiving)
  • twenty-fourth day of December (Christmas Eve)
  • twenty-fifth day of December (Christmas Day)

When a holiday falls on Saturday, it is observed on the preceding Friday; when it falls on Sunday, it is observed the following Monday.
