Listed below are the items recycled at the center:

  • Glass -- clear, brown, and green
  • Cans -- steel and bi-metal food cans; steel, aluminum and bi-metal beverage cans
  • Plastics -- milk jugs; #1 and #2 liter bottles; #1 and #2 plastic containers (# found on bottom of container inside recycling triangle symbol)

Lids and paper should be removed from all glass, cans, and plastics.

  • Paper -- newsprint, office, computer, copy, scratch, letterhead, notebook, construction paper, and envelopes
  • Cardboard Magazines and catalogues
  • Batteries -- vehicle batteries
  • Oil -- used motor oil

Did you know that mulch/compost is:

  • available at the center from Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
  • available free to all customers (there is a loading fee)
  • made up of composting materials: limb chips, wood chips, mulched grass and leaves mixed together in the tub grinder. (The mulch is usually allowed to age to form an excellent compost.)
